Rafting on Coniston Water

“Our pupils have had a memorable experience, they were successful at activities that they would not normally do.  Their confidence and self-esteem has been raised immensely.” – teacher.

We could not continue without the generosity of a large number of enthusiastic supporters.  Below you will find a number of ways in which you can become involved.
k_bulletGiving
We rely on donations from supporters to help carry out our pioneering work delivering inclusive outdoor activities and disability awareness training to all.  Each year we welcome nearly three thousand people as our guests.  Many of those that come include disabled people within their family or group.  We have been amazed at the way young people from special schools and non-disabled schools have mixed so well together sharing their skills and abilities. Christian principles underlie what we do.

  • Volunteers may work anything from half a day a week to a block period of a month or longer.
  • Volunteers may choose to work at any time of the project’s day (morning, afternoon, evening, overnight).
  • Volunteers may work specifically in one area or across the whole project (Activity Services, Residential Services, Support Services and Training Services).
  • Volunteers may be asked to disclose information for a Criminal Records Bureau check.

  • Students are usually given a programme, which covers morning, afternoon and evening.
  • We try to give all an experience of each area of work (Activity Services, Residential Services, Support Services and Training Services).
